NAT Pocket Knife
Age: At least 20 years
Roughly a 3″ long pocket knife. At one point it had North American Tile on it and contact info. It has since been worn away (mostly).
To start, NAT stands for North American Tile which is my Papa’s tile store. It’s a family business as my mom, uncle and great uncle all work there. When they first started, my Grammy worked there too. Me and my siblings have practically grown up here. Before any of us were old enough to go to school we’d go to work with my mom and spend breaks from school there too. It really is like a second home.
I keep this little knife, though it’s more than past its prime, because it’s a sentimental little thing. My brother used to really like pocket knives, he’d collect them and keep them clean and sharp. This one was before those days but I remember him cutting himself accidentally with it. Now, I don’t find joy in that but it reminds me of my brother when he was so much younger and sweeter. As little brothers are.
